Race Procedures

The rules and or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events, to establish minimum
acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events.
No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of or compliance with these rules or regulations. They are
intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or
official.

RACING PROCEDURES

1.  It is the Drivers responsibility to be lined up on Pit Road, prior to the Division/Class being rolled onto the track.  Driver is
late once the cars are rolled on the track, Late Driver Will Join The Field In The Rear.

2.  Start Of The Race:  To begin the start of the race, cars will be two (2) abreast.  The Flagman will start the race, nosing out of
turn four.  After one (1) lap has been competed, all Restarts will be Single File.  Single File Restarts will be one car right
behind the other with no spacing in between and no dropping low or high out of line.  The Pole Car will start the race, nosing
out of turn four.  After three (3) Cautions called on cars, the field will line up Single File.  False Starts are not included in this
rule.  

3. If you cause a Caution, before one (1) lap is complete, Drivers will go back to the original line up.   After a lap has been
completed, any Driver causing a Caution will go to the rear.  Even though you get your position back when a lap has not
been completed, it still counts toward one of your three (3) cautions.  

4.  All Drivers will wear Fire Suits and have Fire Extinguishers in their cars, mounted correctly.  This will be checked on Pit
Road when being lined up, prior to the start of the race.

5.  Slower cars given the Move Over Flag or Lap Flag must move to the inside of the track.  You are to get out of competition
and allow the faster traffic to pass.  If a car being lapped does not move over or out of the way and causes the Leader to spin,
the Lapped Flag Car will be disqualified.

6.  After causing three (3) Cautions, Driver will be Blacked Flagged for that race.  Caution called before one (1) lap has been
completed does count as part of the Three (3) Caution Rule.

7.  Red Flag indicates to Stop Immediately.

8.  Track Officials are the only persons allowed to touch a car on the track.  Driver(s) will be Disqualified for not obeying this
rule.

9.  If a Driver goes to the pits for any reason and returns to the track during the race, Driver will go to the rear of the field.  
Even if a lap has not been completed in the race.

10.  All Drivers must attend Drivers Meeting.  Drivers Meeting will be at 7:00 P.M. in the Center of the Pit Area.  Cars can be
inspected by Track Official’s at any time.  (Unless Otherwise Posted or Announced

11.  All Drivers are responsible and in charge of their Crew Members.

12.  Any un-sportsman like conduct will not be accepted.  The Driver will be fined $100.00 and must be paid before racing
again at Shelby County Speedway.  All Fine Money will go into the Points Fund.

13.  The Driver Only will be the sole Spokesman with Track Officials in matters pertaining to the race, ect.  This will be done in
an orderly fashion.

14.  Being under the influence of alcohol or any other substance will not be allowed.  This impairs the mind and causes
unsafe conditions.

15.  Racing Fuel permitted.  No Alcohol in any class, with the exception of Super Late Models.

16.  Any Driver, Car Owner or Crew Member who climbs on the Flag Stand without being instructed
to do so will be Fined $100.

17.  No Radios or Mirrors is allowed in any Division.

18.  Jumping the Start:  1st time Driver will receive warning, 2nd time the Driver will be place in the rear of the field.

19.  If a Driver spins out on during the White Flag lap, the race will continue to race to the finish.  The Yellow Light will come
on along with the Green Light to alert the Drivers there is danger on the track.

20.  All Cars must have numbers on both sides and top facing the Control Tower.  The numbers must  be 18” tall (unless
noted in a specific Division rules).  This will help Track Officials from potentially making a bad call, if the numbers can not be
seen easily.

21.  The Top Threes Cars must cross the Scales for Tech Inspection after the race.  No one will be allowed in this area, Track
Officials Only!  Everyone will be treated fair.  This Rule will be strictly enforced.  

22.  Any thing hanging loose on your car for safety reasons, Flagman may have to Caution the race.  Example:  Hood, Door
Bumper, etc.  If the Infield Official can remove the loose or hanging object, then no Caution will be called.  If object can not be
removed then Driver will be instructed to go to the Pits to have it removed.  The caution will be called on the Drivers car.  If
object flies off onto the track, the Caution will be for Debris.

23.  The meaning of all Racing Flags:
a.  Green Flag – Indicates start of the race – clear.
b.  Yellow Flag – Indicates to slow down, hold your position, do not race back to the Start/Finish Line.
c.  Red Flag – Indicates to Stop immediately, safely and quickly as possible.  Drivers must remain the their cars.      
No working on cars on the track.  Drivers that gets out of their car or  working on cars during a Red Flag will be put to
the rear of the field.  
d. Blue/ Yellow or Blue/Orange move to the inside immediately.  Driver must yield to the faster traffic and is no longer in   
the competition.  
e. Crossed Flag’s indicates half way point of the race.  
f.  Black Flag pointed at the drivers indicates Warning.
g.  Black Flag waved at the Drivers indicates Driver is disqualified.  A Driver can be disqualified with a warning.   
h.  White Flag – Indicates one (1) lap to go before the Checkered Flag.
I.   White and Green Flags  straight up – Indicates two (2) laps to go before the Checkered Flag.
j.   Checkered Flag – Indicates the race is over.

24.  Hot Lap Sessions are ended with the Red Flag being waved.  
25.  The Winner will immediately pull his car to the Victory Lane area.
26.  The Track Signal Lights will be obeyed at all times.  
27.  Any Driver not obeying the Flagman will be Blacked Flagged.
28.  The Driver Only is allowed to pick up Prize Money.
