Hobby
Engine
1. Engine must be stock. Engine must be factory stock for make of car (GM in GM, Ford in Ford, etc.). Stock bore and
stroke (.040 bore allowed for cylinder wear). No 400 Small Blocks. 362 CID Max. Displacement. No Stroked or D- stroked
engines.
2. Stock flat top pistons.
3. Hydraulic camshaft, no roller lifters, camshaft limited to .500" lift at the valve end of the rocker.
4. Only Holly model 3310 or Quadrajet, The only modification allowed is to remove choke. No double pumper’s. Any other
lesser carburetor if track approved.
5. Stock cast iron heads as available from the manufacturer. No off-road heads. After market Cast Iron Head’s Allowed.
No porting or polishing.
6. Stock ignition for year of car. No dual point or External Racing Ignition. (Example MSD box, etc.).
7. Stock Aluminum or Stock Cast Iron intake must have stamped or cast manufacturer Part number . Track Approved
Only! No Porting or Polishing.
8. No electric fuel pumps.
9. Engine set back: #1 on Ball Joint or center of spring.
10. Headers are permitted. Collector type only.
11. Stock rocker arms or Roller Rockers.
12. Automatic transmission must have stock torque converter.
13. Standard transmission must have steel flywheel, pressure plate and clutch disk. No Mini Disk Clutch
14. Valves - 194 intake - 160 exhaust maximum. No porting and no polishing of heads.
15. Must have Stock Crankshaft and Rods.
16. No Nitrous Oxide Or Alcohol Allowed
BODY AND SUSPENSION
1. All Hobby Cars Must Have Racing Seat. Seat must be fastened to roll bar or rail. Not On Floor.
2. Windshield Optional. All other glass and chrome must be removed. Screens are allowed, must have three (3) Protector
Bars.
3. Fuel Cell. MANDATORY.
4. Stock bumpers bolted on, not welded. May put loop bar on front behind grill for protection of radiator.
5. Must have front and rear fire walls and stock floor pan.
6. Pure stock body only! No shortening or lengthening at all. No after-market bodies.
7. Stock Rear End. 9 Inch Ford O.K Suspension and steering must be sock for make and model of the car in both front and
rear.
8. Suspension and steering must be stock for make and model of the car in both front and rear. No Panard Pull Bars or J
Bars. Ford Chassis Panard Bar is O.K.
9. Stock Brakes. One master cylinder only! Four
10. Automatic Transmission, 3 or 4 Speed Permitted. Must have stock converter with all working parts. Must Idle in gear.
11. Tires - 11 inch maximum. Street tires or dirt tires. 10 inch Steel Wheels maximum. (American Racing or Hoosier Only).
12. Stock Brakes. One master cylinder only! Four wheel disc brakes O.K. All Four Wheels Brake must work.
13. Adjustable cups or spacers O.K. No Jack Bolts
14. Wheel Base - Minimum 108 inches.
15. Weight: 3,200 lbs. with driver at any time.
