| Buzz Car Rules |
DISCLAIMER
The rules and or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events, to establish minimum
acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events.
No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of or compliance with these rules or regulations. They are
intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or
official.
Buzz Car
Cars Legal For Buzz Car Division
Any Stock 4 or 6 cylinder sedan, or station wagon from 84 model up. All cars front wheel drive only.
Body
1. All glass must be removed except windshield and can be changed to Lexan.
2. All flammable materials must be removed.
3. Dash To remain stock.
4. Speedometer must work.
5. Horn must blow.
6. Wipers must work.
7. All doors, hood and trunk must be secured during race. (Welded, bolted or chained).
8. Must have 3/16 steel plate over drivers door and over lap at least 4" on fender and quarter panel or may
have roll cage.
9. May hull drivers side door if you have cage.
10. If you do not have roll cage, you must have 2 post behind seat with pates on top and bottom, bolted to
roof and floor pan with a bar between them at least 1-1/2" tubing, round or square, like a H.
11. Must have racing seat belts.
Engine
1. All engines must be stock for make and model of vehicle.
2. Engines must remain completely stock and in stock position.
3. Must start with key in stock location.
4. Battery may be relocated in safe place. Recommended safety disconnect on battery cable.
5. No turbo's or super chargers.
6. Mufflers can be removed and use straight pipe.
Suspension
1. No altering of frame or suspension in any way.
2. May add camber to right front tire.
Tires
1. Street legal 70 series tires only.
2. No racing tires allowed.
3. All four (4) tires must be same size.
General Provisions
1. Vehicles must be painted neatly with contrasting numbers on the doors and the roof. Numbers must be
at least 20" tall and non reflective.
2. Claim Rule Minus Safety Equipment: $500 on cars with out roll cage, $800 with roll cage.
3. Refusal to sell will lose all points for year and $200 fine and 2 week suspension.
4. If caught cheating, $30 fine with half going to the tech person.
NOTE: If your move up a class, you can not come back down, unless, Shelby
County Speedway combines for race night event.
